Summit Rinjani 5 Days / 4 Nights – A Complete Adventure
The Summit Rinjani 5 Days / 4 Nights trek is designed for travelers who want the full Mount Rinjani experience at a relaxed pace. Over five days, you’ll explore all the highlights of the volcano: rolling Sembalun savannas, dense tropical rainforests, Segara Anak Lake, natural hot springs, multiple crater rims, and the summit at 3,726 meters. Compared to the 4D3N Summit trek, this program allows more time for acclimatization, rest, and exploration — including two nights at Segara Anak Lake and additional stops along the trail. The longer duration ensures trekkers can enjoy the journey fully, take in panoramic views, and move at a comfortable pace, making it suitable for first-time climbers, families, and those seeking a less rushed adventure.
Key Differences from 4D3N Trek:
- Duration & Pace: 5D4N has an extra day, allowing a slower, more enjoyable trek with additional time at Segara Anak Lake.
- Lake Experience: Two nights at the lake instead of one, giving time for hot springs, short hikes, and photography.
- Rest & Acclimatization: More gradual elevation gain reduces fatigue and improves safety for summit day.
- Overall Experience: 5D4N offers a more immersive journey with extended views of the volcano, crater rims, and surrounding Lombok landscapes.
Instead of rushing, this trek allows you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Mount Rinjani. Each morning, you’ll wake up to crisp mountain air, panoramic landscapes, and the natural sounds of the jungle, while evenings are perfect for stargazing under clear skies. You’ll camp in carefully selected spots, relax in natural hot springs, and enjoy sunrise and sunset from some of the most breathtaking viewpoints on the mountain, including the crater rims and Segara Anak Lake.
Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or solo, this program is designed to balance adventure with ample rest. The gradual pace and extended stops make it ideal for beginners, families, or anyone wanting to experience Rinjani fully, without feeling rushed — allowing you to truly savor each moment on the trek.
Highlights of the 5-Day Trek

- Mount Rinjani Trekking Quota: Why Early Booking is Essential
Mount Rinjani is one of the most iconic trekking destinations in the world. To protect the mountain’s natural beauty and ensure a safe experience, the National Park limits the number of climbers each day. This system is called the trekking quota, and it’s divided into two categories: - For international travelers, there are 240 quota slots each day. These slots are managed by trekking organizers like GREEN RINJANI to ensure proper permits, guides, and safety arrangements. Because demand is high — especially during peak season (July–September) — these slots fill up fast.
- Booking early (1–2 months in advance) guarantees your spot, saves last-minute stress, and allows you to secure your preferred trekking date and route.
- Local / Public Quota — 160 slots per day
For Indonesian citizens or domestic trekkers, 160 slots are available daily. These are reserved for climbers registering independently at the Rinjani Trekking Centre in Senaru or Sembalun. Local quotas tend to fill quickly during busy periods, so early planning is still highly recommended.
Why This Matters for You Without a secured quota slot, trekking Mount Rinjani is not allowed. This is why early booking is essential — especially for foreign visitors who depend on agency-arranged quotas.
