How to Get to Green Rinjani Lombok

Getting to Green Rinjani and starting your trek to Mount Rinjani is easy, no matter how you choose to travel. Whether you’re coming by plane, ferry, or fast boat, there are several convenient transportation options that will take you to Senaru, the gateway to Rinjani. Let’s explore each option:

By Plane:

The easiest and fastest way to reach Lombok is by plane. In fact, there are daily direct flights from Jakarta and Bali to Lombok International Airport (LOP), which is located in Tanak Awu, Central Lombok District. This airport is about 30 km (1 hour’s drive) southeast of Mataram.

After arriving at Lombok International Airport (LOP), you will need to continue by road to Green Rinjani in Senaru. The drive takes approximately 3.5 hours.

By Ferry

If you’re traveling from Bali, the public ferry offers a convenient and budget-friendly way to cross to Lombok. Ferries depart from Padang Bai (Bali) and arrive at Lembar (Lombok) multiple times per day. The ferry ride takes around 4-5 hours.

Tip: Motorbikes and cars can also be taken on the ferry.
Note: If you’re prone to seasickness, be prepared for some rough seas.

There are also ferries that connect Labuhan Lombok and Poto Tano (on Sumbawa Island), which operate several times a day with a journey time of around 1.5 hours

By Fast Boat

fast boat companies that will take you from Bali to mainland Lombok. There are 3 convenient departure points from Bali: Serangan (just near the Benoa Harbour) Padang Bai Harbour and Nusa Penida. The trips take around 2-3 hours from Bali to Bangsal harbor in the North of Lombok.

Are all destinations included when I book a Rinjani tour?

No, we don’t cover all destinations with free transfers. Some locations incur an additional charge, such as:

Selong Belanak: IDR 200,000 for a group of up to 4 people
Ekas and Pink Beach area: IDR 300,000 for a group of up to 4 people
Sekotong area: IDR 300,000 for a group of up to 4 people
Lembar: IDR 200,000 for a group of up to 4 people
Transfer or pick-up from Gili Islands (by boat or speed boat): An additional charge of IDR 400,000 per way per boat (max 5 people).
