Mount Rinjani Open 2025
Mount Rinjani open on April 3, 2025 – Booking Terms & Limited Entry Quota
Exciting news for all adventure lovers.
After the rainy season starts from January to March, Mount Rinjani officially reopens for trekking on April 3, 2025. This reopening means hikers can experience stunning summit views, the breathtaking Segara Anak Lake, and lush jungle trails.
Due to conservation efforts, only 240 hikers are allowed per day. It is highly recommended that you book your trek in advance.

Limited Entry Quota – Only 240 Hikers Per Day
To preserve Mount Rinjani’s fragile ecosystem and enhance the trekking experience, the park authorities have set a strict daily quota of 240 hikers. These slots are distributed among the three main trekking routes:
1. Sembalun Route – Preferred for summit hikes
2. Senaru Route – Popular for crater rim treks
3. Torean Route – Known for scenic landscapes
Booking your trekking permit in advance is essential to secure your spot on your preferred date.
How to Book Your Mount Rinjani Trekking Permit
To secure your trek, follow these official booking steps:
1. Check Availability
Download the E-Rinjani app from the Google Play Store to check permit availability on your preferred date.
2. Register & Book
Once availability is confirmed, register via the E-Rinjani app or through the official Mount Rinjani National Park website.
3. Health Certificate Requirement
Before your trek, you must obtain a health certificate issued within 24 hours before your hike. This certificate will be checked at the entrance, and hikers without a valid certificate will not be allowed to enter.
