Pick-Up & Arrival Recommendations

A morning pick-up is highly recommended so that you can arrive early, rest, and prepare for your climb the next day. Arriving by 2:00–3:00 PM allows you to relax, meet your guide, and visit Senaru’s waterfalls before sunset.

Day 0 – Arrival in Senaru Village (601 m)
- Our driver will pick you up from any location in Lombok — airport, harbor, or your hotel — and transfer you comfortably to Senaru Village, the gateway to Mount Rinjani. The drive takes around 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on your starting point.
- Upon arrival, check in at Green Rinjani Guest House and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere. If you arrive before 3:00 PM, you’ll have time to explore Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, just a short walk from your accommodation.
- Dinner will be served at Green Rinjani Restaurant, offering a mix of Indonesian and Western dishes. After dinner, your guide will meet you for a detailed trek briefing — explaining the route, equipment, safety, and weather. Spend the night in your private room, resting well before your adventure begins.
Day 1 – Senaru Village to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m)
Walking distance: approximately 9 km
Walking time: 6–7 hours, including rest stops
- After an early breakfast at the guest house, your trek begins at 7:00 AM from Senaru Village (601 m). The first part of the trail winds through coffee plantations and local farms before entering the cool shade of the tropical forest.
- By 9:30 AM, you’ll arrive at Pos 1 (915 m) for a short rest and snack. The trail continues gently uphill through the forest, where you may spot grey monkeys and hear the sounds of mountain birds.
- Around 11:30 AM, you’ll reach Pos 2 (1,500 m), where your porters will prepare a hot lunch. Take time to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
- After lunch, the trail becomes slightly steeper, opening into grassy ridges and rocky slopes. By 1:30 PM, you’ll arrive at Cemara Lima (around 2,000 m) — a scenic viewpoint offering wide panoramas of North Lombok and the sea.
- The final stretch to Plawangan Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) takes about two more hours. This section is moderately steep but incredibly rewarding, with open ridges and stunning views. You’ll reach the campsite around 4:00–4:30 PM.
- As you arrive, your porters will set up your tent and prepare hot drinks and snacks. Watch the sunset over Segara Anak Lake and the peak of Mount Rinjani. Dinner will be served around 6:00 PM, followed by a peaceful night under the stars.

- Wake up at 5:30 AM for sunrise over the crater — one of Lombok’s most magical moments. After breakfast and a hot drink, your descent begins around 7:00 AM.
- The trail descends steadily through open ridges and back into the forest. The air is cool, filled with the songs of birds and cicadas. By 9:30 AM, you’ll stop at Pos 2 (1,500 m) for rest and snacks before continuing down the shaded path.
- Arrive back at Senaru Village (601 m) around 1:00–2:00 PM, where your trek ends. Refresh with a shower and lunch at the guest house.
- Afterward, our driver will take you to your next destination — whether it’s Senggigi, Kuta, the Gili Islands, or Lombok Airport.

Cancellation Policy
- Deposit is non-refundable: Deposits are used to secure your quota and purchase Mount Rinjani National Park entrance tickets.
- No rescheduling: Once tickets are issued, rescheduling is not allowed.
- Refunds only for official closures: Refunds are possible only if Mount Rinjani is officially closed by the government due to natural disasters (e.g., volcanic eruption).

All meals are freshly cooked by your porters using quality local ingredients.

How much water is provided?
Each guest receives 3 liters of bottled mineral water per day, carried by our porters.

Mobile signal is available in Senaru Village, but limited on the trail.

What if the weather turns bad?
Trekking continues if there is only light rain, as mountain weather can change quickly and conditions often improve within hours.
However, if the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority (TNGR) officially closes the mountain due to extreme weather, volcanic activity, or safety concerns, the trek will be postponed to another available date.
Refunds are not available in this situation, as the park entrance tickets and logistics are already issued and non-refundable.
Postponement is possible only if there is availability and approval from the national park authority for your new trekking date.
Green Rinjani will assist you in rescheduling your trek to the next suitable date whenever possible.
